Fairwell to a dear old friend: "MuddyCat"

It is with great sorrow that I write this.  I received a phone call from the wonderful family that loved, and was loved by, Muddy Cat, one of our very own FURR rescues.  Muddy Cat had passed on over the rainbow.  In the last few weeks, Muddy Cat had been getting sick and after many trips to the vet, several medicines and tests, it turns out that it was just his time to go.  Karen DeGraf, Muddy Cat's mom, told me that according to the vets, it is possible that cancer caused him to leave us.

BUT, while Muddy Cat lived with the DeGraf's, he brought them SO much joy and love!  The DeGraf's are very special people to those of us at FURR.  They came to the kitty lodge looking for a new kitten to add to their life, but instead of taking home a bouncy little kitten, they gave an older kitty a chance...........a chance to have a home and a life with a  wonderful family.  Muddy Cat quickly became a member of the DeGraf's family and also got along with their dog!


It is always hard to lose a beloved pet, but Muddy Cat was special to all of us at FURR.  We can't imagine what the DeGraf's must be going through. They sacrificed an awful lot to save Muddy Cat, and received very expensive medical bills   We would like to help ease the DeGraf's financial burden with a little help by asking for any donations you can give.  Please use our FURR paypal or just mail in a check and designate it to Muddy Cat's memory and we will be sure to get it to the DeGraf's with our note of sympathy.  Their burden is heavy, both financial and in heartache..........let's do what we can to help!
